An Innovative Future for e-Learning

One of the the nation's most respected business newspapers recently mentioned IQity and its developing educational platform as one to watch. A September 2010 article in the tech section of THE WALL STREET JOURNAL featured "informed opinions of people who are either innovators themselves or who study innovation in various fields". Authored by WSJ writer, Chris Gay, this interview-based, ponder-piece attempts to identify examples of probable fields that will undergo the most extensive innovation in the next decade or so.

The fields noted as those that would experience "the most innovations in the years ahead" include: Space Travel and Habitation, Heavy-Lift Launching, Space-Based Solar Power, Nano-Scale Medical Devices, New Treatment for Blindness, Breakthrough Fuel Technologies, and Adaptive Learning. In brief, then, the most likely fields to experience large innovative gains are Space, Energy, Medical, and Education. This is quite an exclusive and impressive industry group with which Iqity is being identified!

Innosight Institute's co-founder Michael Horn notes in Chris Gay's article that "One breakthrough could be a platform that tracks and analyzes the progress of individual students, allowing teachers to customoize lessons to the individual." Among a group of companies noted by Mr. Horn as those who "are making early waves" in this new educational frontier, is IQity. The area of Adaptive Learning, which IQity falls within, is all about tailoring the learning experience to the needs of individual students. Through the use of its leading-edge Learning Management System technology coupled with the Reactor Repository, Iqity is heading the Adaptive Learning pack. Iqity's focus is directly on the further enhancement and continual recreation of its educational platform as a highly accessible, maleable, interactive, flexible, customizable, secure, and reliable.

Interactive e-Learning with IQity LIVEBOARD

Direct access and interaction with teachers, tutors, and instructors is the heart of any educational experience. Not only is interaction with whom you are learning from important, but exchange and communication with those you are learning with is also paramount. Traditional education environments place students and teachers in physical proximity within a structure. This creates an atmosphere that allows for the positives of personal interactivity, but can also introduce negatives to an experience such as distraction, environmental discomfort, and the inconvenience of travel and its often adverse relationship with timing and tardiness. The
persistent question here is how does one receive the best parts of the traditional educational environment experience without the downside? And here is the kicker inquiry: How is that accomplished within an alternate, online-learning format?

With the advent of LIVEBOARD, an incredible tool within IQity's Learning Management Suite, the interpersonal experience is brought to the e-Learning setting. LIVEBOARD is IQity's way of bringing a classroom without walls to online students. During the LIVEBOARD lessons, the teacher appears in one corner of the screen in a live video display. The students, online for the class, can see both the instructor during the lessen, as well as see what he/she is drawing on the board through the use of a portion of the remaining monitor screen area being used as an
animated "whiteboard". This Whiteboard can display bullet points, causal diagrams, equations, pictures, etc., just like a blackboard or whiteboard would do if you were in a walled classroom. During the instruction, teacher and students can take part in live chats to address questions,
pose additional problems or variables, and/or further discuss details of the classroom "chalk talk".

Technological advancement displayed through the amazing Learning Management Suite has catapulted IQity into uncharted areas in online e-Learning. LIVEBOARD is one integral facet of the IQity experience. Feel free to contact IQity now at 1-888-326-8395 and learn how you can become part of the growing interactive online-learning wave. Catch it!
