An Innovative Future for e-Learning
One of the the nation's most respected business newspapers recently mentioned IQity and its developing educational platform as one to watch. A September 2010 article in the tech section of THE WALL STREET JOURNAL featured "informed opinions of people who are either innovators themselves or who study innovation in various fields". Authored by WSJ writer, Chris Gay, this interview-based, ponder-piece attempts to identify examples of probable fields that will undergo the most extensive innovation in the next decade or so.
The fields noted as those that would experience "the most innovations in the years ahead" include: Space Travel and Habitation, Heavy-Lift Launching, Space-Based Solar Power, Nano-Scale Medical Devices, New Treatment for Blindness, Breakthrough Fuel Technologies, and Adaptive Learning. In brief, then, the most likely fields to experience large innovative gains are Space, Energy, Medical, and Education. This is quite an exclusive and impressive industry group with which Iqity is being identified!
Innosight Institute's co-founder Michael Horn notes in Chris Gay's article that "One breakthrough could be a platform that tracks and analyzes the progress of individual students, allowing teachers to customoize lessons to the individual." Among a group of companies noted by Mr. Horn as those who "are making early waves" in this new educational frontier, is IQity. The area of Adaptive Learning, which IQity falls within, is all about tailoring the learning experience to the needs of individual students. Through the use of its leading-edge Learning Management System technology coupled with the Reactor Repository, Iqity is heading the Adaptive Learning pack. Iqity's focus is directly on the further enhancement and continual recreation of its educational platform as a highly accessible, maleable, interactive, flexible, customizable, secure, and reliable.
